Spaces and Flexi
What a space holds
The Note, the List, pointers, documents, tables, drawings, pages and Files.
Beside the conversation, a space holds files: its stack. On a laptop it is the column next to the conversation; on a phone, its own screen. Everything in it is a file in the project's repo, in the space's folder under .flexos/spaces/.
Always there
- Note: the space's notes. Flexi keeps them as you talk, and you can type in them too.
- List: what to do or decide, ticked off as it happens. Each item says whether it waits on you or on Flexi.
Pointers
When the space works on something that lives elsewhere (a Library document, a connection, an agent, another space, a page in another space), it gets a row named after it. Opening it shows what it points to (Open it there), this space's notes about it, the files here that are about it, and the other spaces about the same thing.
Things
- Documents: write in them as in any editor. Flexi writes and edits them too; if he changes one while you are typing, you are asked which to keep.
- Tables: rows and columns: prices, opening hours, a menu.
- Drawings: steps and the lines between them: a flow, how an agent decides, a customer's journey.
- Pages: a page Flexi made, shown as it will look, at a laptop's or a phone's width. Once it has a second version it opens in the version viewer: Pages and versions.
Each thing's ⋯ has Rename, Download, Archive (it moves to the space's archive; nothing is lost) and Delete. Share in its corner makes a read-only link: Sharing.
Files
What you send lands in Files: pictures, PDFs, videos, a link you paste (kept as a clean copy of the page), a mail you put in from the Inbox. One row, however many there are, so a hundred screenshots never crowd the things that matter. A file that turns out to matter moves up into the stack.
